Training Providers
transCDA is responsible for recommending and communicating with industry sectors, ITA and training providers, the timing and location of technical training delivery for programs in the transportation sector.
Training Providers in British Columbia are designated by the Industry Training Authority (ITA) to offer technical training for apprenticeship and foundation programs. Through the designation process, industry and students are assured that high standards for training facilities, instructor qualifications, curriculum and assessment methods are met.
Apprentices are responsible for choosing an ITA designated training provider and registering with the ITA for technical training. The BC Trades Training Consortium website provides information for class schedules at public institutions.
Admissions information is also available on the B.C. Council on Admissions and Transfer website Education Planner.
