Youth
Youth programs provide students with opportunity and options to get a jump-start in trades with hands-on training and to earn while still at school. Tradespersons earn a salary that is above the average of all careers combined in Canada. The demand for trades is growing, as there is a shortage of certified tradespersons in Canada.
The ITA youth programs such as ACE IT (Accelerated Credit Enrollment in Industry Training); SSA (Secondary School Apprenticeship); and. YES 2 IT (Youth Exploring Skills to Industry Training) provide students in BC with a start in trades.
